Python is a general purpose and high level programming language. A developer can use Python for developing desktop GUI applications, websites and web applications. Also, Python, as a high level programming language, allows you to focus on core functionality of the application by taking care of common programming tasks. Its design philosophy emphasizes code readability, and its syntax allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code than would be possible in languages such as C++ or Java.

Did you manage to catch Apple’s event this week? This year we saw much less focus on technology and cool gadgets and devices, rather, there was a heavy focus on services.

Did anything impress you?
I was fortunate to attend the 2019 Esri DevSummit in March. This year there was definitely loads of interest as seen by what I thought was a record crowd… case in point, the plenary session was packed and standing room only! For me, at devSummit I like to focus on all the “what’s new” and “what’s coming” sessions, however, this year there was plenty to see from sessions that shared innovative ways for developers and non-developers to use ArcGIS technology to build, deploy, and share awesome GIS web maps, web apps, and services.
Here we are, tournament time! Yes indeed, this is the time of the year that we do up our brackets, kick back, and wait for them to get busted by some Cinderella story team (remember Gonzaga back in the early 2000’s??
