A slightly more personal update here… I remind you that we will be remembering our veterans tomorrow here in Canada as we observe Remembrance Day and those of you in the US recognize Veteran’s Day – I’m sure many of you will also be remembering in your own way. Huge thanks to all the current and past service men, women and their families for their sacrifices and service in order to preserve our freedoms and way of life.
On another note, a message and a reminder to you guys out there on an important topic – Other than skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in [American] men. About 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in American men, behind only lung cancer. About 1 man in 36 will die of prostate cancer. Often without symptoms in its earliest, most curable stage (frequently turning up in men in their 40s) making annual testing ever more important. For more information I urge you to check out the http://www.movember.com resource and find a local Movember fund raiser in your community or social circle
FYI, I’ve joined up with a local “Mo Bro” team and I’m currently working on my “MO” and will be spreading awareness on the topic – the MO will keep coming, the beard will go (oops) and the updates will come, hopefully along with a couple of donations as well. To start, We’d be glad to offer you or your company a Free Job posting in our career center. Simply email your job info to jobs@gisuser.com or send us a link to it and in exchange all I ask is for a small donation to the Movember fund – Donations are tax deductible.
