Utah area GIS developers, would-be developers, ArcGIS enthusiasts, GeoGeeks, or those of you who simply enjoy some periodic GeoGlobalDomination (you need to see the Twitter hastag #GeoGlobalDomination to fully grasp this concept if it doesn’t sound familiar to you) take note that the Esri hosted traveling roadshow billed as DevMeetUp is coming to Salt Lake City in the near future. The event takes place at Legends Pub & Grill on November 9th (5-8 PM), advance registration (free) is required – See http://devmeetupsaltlakecity.eventbrite.com/.
The event is open to everyone, no Esri ELA is required! Those interested in presenting a short lightning talk to discuss their recent projects or experiences are encouraged to do so. the DevMeetUps are a fabulous networking opportunity, enabling GIS professionals to get out and meet some colleagues, make a few new friends, and discuss issues and challenges they face every day… or just a great chance to tip a beer or two back and get your “GEO” on!For more about DevMeetUp and what’s its all about, check out this video of Andy Gup (Esri EDN) as he welcomes the crowd at a recently held meetUp in Northern Colorado. Thinking about presenting but unsure how/what to discuss? Here’s a fun sample video of Bryan Noyle. Brian Sullivan of the City of Greeley, CO also did a fine job presenting at DevMeetUp NOCO.
