A quick reminder to you Geo geeks and Geo developers located at or near N Carolina that the Esri DevMeet Up traveling series of Developer meets is coming to your area soon.If you aren’t familiar, here’s a little bit of info provide courtesy of Jim Barry, Esri’s EDN Program Manager (see also http://www.esri.com/devmeetup)
It’s an after-work event for a few hours. I guess I’d call it a technical social. Esri’s getting the venue, food, drinks (beer, wine too), and the attendees bring the presentations and lightning talks. It’s also a great opportunity to meet other devs in their area, their local Esri regional staff. These are also open and free for non-Esri developers and students. We hope this will outreach to application developers in general, exposing them to what Esri technologies can do and are doing.
For the most part they’ve gone very well, and those who’ve attended want more in their area. Perhaps every few months. We’re moving forward with that. Here is a blog post that described how our Pasadena event went
