Did you manage to catch today’s GISuser e-Newsletter (our first of two drops per week)? Today we had our first post-ESRIUC news update and it was packed with goodies – there was so much that took place last week! From the newsletter…
Hello GISuser… Welcome home to those of you who made the trek to Southern California last week to enjoy another busy International Esri User Conference. Perhaps some of you are tired of hearing about announcements and news from the show, however, the buzz will likely continue for a few more days (or weeks) given the huge-ness (is that a word??) of this year’s event! This was UC #12 for yours truly and in all honesty, I don’t ever recall so much taking place in one week with so many enthusiastic developers, solution providers, evangelists, Tweeters, and end users all gathered together under one roof. I have to think that regardless of your software/vendor affiliation, the progress and technological innovation witnessed last week was truly motivational and inspirational to much of the industry… I know it was for me!
The week was so busy (that’s an understatement really) starting off with pre-conference seminars and training, a conference kick-off Tweet-Up where about 3 dozen GeoTweeps met up in person for a little GeoGlobalDomination (search Twitter if you have no idea what I mean) and then the requisite industry roadmap provided by key Esri executives, product managers, business partners, and end users. There were so many application and device launches made at the show that I can’t even begin to start listing them off for fear of missing something important! You can browse all the week’s announcements and official PRs HERE in our dedicated ESRIUC archive. Finally, be sure to check the GISuser.com homepage and the blog (blog.gisuser.com) carefully for conference feature articles, show notes, videos, and more and for a little enjoyment, feel free to browse the ESRIUC Image Gallery (and some videos) put together with over 500 photos that I captured during the week with the new Nikon… enjoy! To the hundreds of you that I managed to meet in person, it was truly a great experience to be able to have a chance to speak and get our “Geo” on!
