Avatech brands AutoCAD KML Writer as Earth Connector
Looking for a way to extract AutoCAD data so users can view in Google Earth? Avatech has a nifty solution (in Beta). Avatech experts have developed Earth Connector, a Google Earth add-in currently in beta form, for use with AutoCAD. It works within AutoCAD 2006 and 2005 by using the ExtractKML command, and lets you place CAD objects into the Google Earth worldview. Landsat 8 budgeted for $338 million
Next-generation LANDSAT is in the works… this from an article in the ArgusLeader… “The next satellite might eventually be dubbed Landsat 8 and is budgeted for $338 million this fiscal year. The memo from OSTP also said the government’s goal is to make Landsat a permanent program rather than a series of independent missions.” The announcement of a new satellite was made quietly just before Christmas.
