Gaia GPS iPhone app available for Haiti Disaster Relief
The developers of Gaia GPS app http://www.gaiagps.com/ have made available a special application for Haiti responders. now available in the iTunes shop (kudos for getting it in there so fast!) this special version of the app has been developed specifically for the Haiti response and for Haiti responders. The app can be used to download and display maps and satellite imagery of affected areas as well as up to date overlays showing important information and POIs. Map data has been provided by OSM, Digitalglobe, GeoEye, and the map data is hosted by the NY public library. Haiti GIS Datasets available via Harvard Earthquake Research Center
The Harvard Earthquake research center has set up a portal serving up free GIS data products covering Haiti. A number of data products and layers are available for download including:
