Tablet Options This season and A Look at the Galaxy Tab 3

FYI, if you happen to be in the search for a tablet that’s running Android, be sure to have a looksee at the Galaxy Tab 3… Kid #1 just picked one up (the 8″) and its pretty darned amazing! Granted, the iPad Air or iPad mini is outstanding in many ways, however, if you want or need Android (and there’s many great reasons to go Android) then this unit is a must consider – when compared side-by-side with the latest Nexus tablet I’d have to say this one blows it out of the water for a mere $30 more! Cool feeatures noticed out of the box include a nice, solid build, amazingly clear screen, durable, cool multi-tasking capabilities, awesome camera, tight integration with Google enabling easy production of google hangouts. Some of the features/specs of the Galaxy Tab 3 include:

  • Handy 7″ or 8″ “mini” models
  • 1.5 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory
  • Expandable via MicroSD card
  • Android Jelly Bean
  • 5MP rear camera + 1.3 MP front camera

Tablet Roundup – Apple, Microsoft, Nokia All With New Solutions

So, how was your Tablet Tuesday? With Apple, Microsoft and Nokia all announcing new products, including some very cool tablets are you planning on making a switch any time soon? Indeed Apple is killing all the others and dominating the tablet space and there’s no sign of that changing any time soon I’d say. Nokia is trying to chip away at some market-share, however, in all honesty I really don’t see that one going very far but I guess time will tell. The Lumia 2520 windows Tablet is a nice looking piece of hardware but really, how can you possibly compete with Android and iOs in that space? In their defense, the 4G LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity, and 6.7MP camera make it a pretty attractive option – and the red color is a nice touch too! Microsoft has announced the smaller, lighter, and faster Surface2 which is somewhat of a notebook/tablet hybrid and really does chase a different market segment in my mind… no huge numbers for that one in sales either I’m predicting although it is looking pretty good and at $449 not a bad option for the Windoze fans! The Apple products, however, are looking mighty fine as we saw in Apple’s live event.
