From the Times of India comes the latest on the topic of sensitive data available to the public, something that was brought up 2 years ago. Now following the 26/11 terror attacks, a Mumbai-based advocate has moved Bombay high court seeking a “complete ban on Google Earth and similar sites like Wikimapia” in the larger interest of national security. The basis of the arguments are the availability of sensitive data, widelyy accessible for free via the Internet to anyone – the availability of the sensitive maps via mobile devices (think Google maps mobile and nokia maps) makes an even larger potential threat.
