Github is all the rage and becoming quite common (and useful) for many agencies, orgs and companies – just mention gihub or forking some data next time you walk past a Geo-Hipster and you’ll see them quickly get all excited! The City of Chicago is using github to host open data and I’m sure many others will follow suit. The resource is geeky and jargon heavy, likely not appealing to the public and the masses, however, for geeky developer types it will be appreciated.
