Are you a Canadian wanting to work or do business in the USA ? Or perhaps you are a Canadian business owner or US business looking at expansion and will have workers crossing back and forth over the border. If so then there’s many considerations for you. Simply crossing the border for business or even pleasure may not be a straight forward as you may think. Cross-border travel is no longer a no-brainer and cases of people being turned away at a border crossing when heading off to a meeting, event, or other business event are quite common. I’ve traveled extensively and frequently between Canada and the US and have had several immigration/visa dealings during that time. One of the most trusted and useful sources of information for me over the past 12 years has been immigration attorney Joe Grasmick. Joe publishes a handy monthly newsletter and now he has a detailed video to help you or your business. Check it out and bookmark this one if you travel to the US from Canada, you never know when you might need Joe’s help!

Here’s something for those of you interested in learning more about ArcGIS online, a webcast series from Geo-Jobe Consulting titled “Your Pathway to ArcGIS Online”. This comes from the crew’s blog… Over the next few months, Jeremy Weber will be leading a series of FREE “MapCasts” that focus on various aspects of the ArcGIS Online platform. Topics will range from the vision of the platform, best practices, use cases, etc. He will also set aside time to discuss challenges, uncertainties and other barriers to adoption with attendees. The ultimate goal of the webcast series is to have a conversation with users on the value of this platform and provide a clear pathway for adoption. The first MapCast in the series is titled Part One: “The Vision” and will be held on November 13, 2012 at 3:00 PM CST.
