It looks like Nokia’s favorite Word of Mouth (WOM) crew is now Nokia Connects! Catch the latest Word of mouth and updates from the Nokia faithful bloggers from this new resource found at nokiaconnects.com . Formerly WOMWorld/Nokia, the UK-based resource is tasked with keeping you informed of the latest social activities, blog bytes, and community activists that eat, sleep, and drink the Nokia Kool Aid!
Now with a new home online at nokiaconnects.com visitors can find all the usual great stuff, including the trials and comments from Nokia bloggers and trialists around the World, catch the latest unboxing videos (I’m sure plenty of N9 unboxings will be popping up very soon) , meet the Nokia Connects team, see who’s currently trialing devices around the Globe and you can even register to request to be a trial device user online as well. You may not have caught wind of this interesting smartphone user survey conducted by Telenav a couple of months ago… indeed some interesting results. The survey looks at habits of smartphone users, asks what they would give up for their device, and examines the various different smartphone platforms. Of interest, iPhone users are most likely to checkin to a business (23%), Blackberry users are most likely to spend more than $1 for an app, while Android device users seem to feel their device reflects their sense of style. Finally, it seems iPhone users are most attached to their devices as 28% of users would rather give up seeing their spouse/other half for a week rather than parting with their beloved device!

This one seems to be a natural fit as popular social networking platform, Hootsuite has acquired another Vancouver-based startup, Geotoko. Geotoko technology reports on geo-based social media interactions like key influencers, customer sentiment, and demographic patterns to help businesses draw conclusions about audience behavior, as well as help brands reward customers for checking-in via Foursquare and Facebook Places. You may recall that Geotoko got a huge push last year via the popular techchrunch disrupt event.
