- 267 tornado reports
- Touchdowns in 15 States
- Storms spanned a 3 day period
- The death toll has risen to 45 people (as of time of writing this post)
- two dozen people were killed N. Carolina on Saturday
- the most deadly outbreak since the 2008 Super Tuesday tornado outbreak
- Jackson, Miss., and Raleigh, N.C., are among the large cities that were struck
- 3 contributors caused this outbreak – a powerful jet stream, abundant moisture and a strong cold front
