Here’s a tip off about a cool, fun way to expand your use of Twitter… imagine your own, personalized daily newspaper that provides an interesting roundup of all the coolest things that you tweet about, your followers mention or even from a specific hashtag – like from an event that you’re following. paper.li provides a service to do exactly that, and more. All you need to do is hit paper.li, sign in using your Twitter account login, then specify what kind of paper you’d like to create (from a Twitter user, using a hashtag, or perhaps the coolest, from a list). paper.li then goes to work extracting data from tweets (text, images, videos, links etc…) then wraps up the results in a newspaper-like format. The resulting paper is archived with a permalink and you can then share the paper with your facebook or twitter account(s). An auto-tweet is generated for you with a short url, description, and even mentions a few of the tweeps that you mentioned in your paper – think Twitter-love! paper.li has got to be one of the coolest third-party Twitter add-ons I’ve seen in a long time. Imagine rolling out a daily paper from an event you’re attending.. how cool is that?
For a real example, check out this Tweet promoting a paper that I just created or see the paper HERE, created out of the latest content posted by Tweeps that I follow. See also this paper.li generated from our @GISuser account
