So, I’ve had a nifty, Nokia E73 Mode smartphone (T-Mobile edition) in my hands for several days. Recently, I put the camera to the test in downtown Victoria BC, Canada – enjoy the images.
The E73 Mode sports a very decent 5 megapixel camera, supporting up to 2592 x 1944 pixels, and provides the user with auto-focus, LED flash and the option for capturing HD video. Providing all the functionality you’d expect in a high-end Nokia smartphone, the sleek, fashionable device is very comfortable in the hand, provides fast access to the camera, and perhaps most important, enables rapid, access to capturing quality images with one hand operation.
Overall, I’m very happy with the image quality, keeping in mind that most of the issues with any photos we captured were due to operator error (ie. blurred photo due to instability or poor lighting conditions). I’d definitely give the camera a 4 out of 5 star rating and wouldn’t hesitate to use the device as my “main” camera for media capture on any trip!
