An interesting competition just announced for developers… The Bluetooth Application Developers’ Contest. The contest will promote open source collaboration that will allow users to develop new and improved uses for mobile phones and PCs with the help of Bluetooth wireless technology.
The Bluetooth SIG hopes to encourage dedicated and well-versed developers to discover original and innovate applications of Bluetooth technology in devices that the majority of the public use everyday – mobile phones and PCs. Contest finalists will be selected by a panel of industry experts who will judge the applications based on creativity, overall functionality, and user appeal. A total prize package of more than $23,000 will be divided amongst the top finalists. Additional prize support will be provided by Frontline Test Equipment – a year lease to its FTS4BT protocol analyzer. See more details in this PR or jump directly to www.bluetooth.com
