An update from the USGIF today tells us about a change in venue for this year’s GEOINT symposium, initially scheduled to be held in TN at the Gaylord Opryland – a new location is necessary due to the recent flooding in the city. From USGIF President Keith Masback…
Based on our extensive discussions with the Opryland staff and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau, neither we nor they felt confident that the hotel property and city would be fully ready to host our attendees, exhibitors, speakers and guests for GEOINT 2010. We mutually agreed that the potential risk to the success of our event was too great, and we at USGIF have decided to change the venue for this year’s symposium… We are, then, excited to announce that the GEOINT 2010 Symposium will be held in New Orleans, LA. The dates will remain exactly the same, November 1-4, and the city is ecstatic to bring the GEOINT Symposium back to where it all began.
