Microsoft Fuse Labs rolls out Docs.com for facebook
An interesting web service rolled out today enables facebook users to share and connect with other in a manner similar to the familiar Google Docs SaaS service – see http://docs.com. At first glance you’ll need to add the service and connect via facebook, then you’ll be presented with some options including “create a doc” although this resulted in an error for me today.. .still in Beta perhaps!! So far there’s a few getting started with Docs documents available for viewing… could be an interesting service!
Earth Day 2010 – GIS Analyst Listed as a Green Job Opportunity by CareerBuilder
Some interesting Earth Day findings revealed by CareerBuilder. Noteworthy findings include: Employers in the Northeast (14 percent) added the most “green jobs” over the last year, followed by 11 percent in the South, 10 percent in the West and 9 percent in the Midwest. Retail led the industries surveyed with 24 percent indicating they have added the “green jobs” over the last 12 months, followed by 18 percent of transportation and utilities. Companies are not only adding environmentally friendly positions within their organizations, they are strengthening their in-house “green” programs as well. The most popular “green” programs include: Recycling, Using less paper, Controlling lighting, Powering down computers at the end of the day, Purchasing office supplies made from recycled materials
