Another cool, new, location-aware game for mobile enthusiasts.. Noticing. The idea is to upload your geotagged photos flickr and tag them with the special “noticings” tag so they are entered in the game. Players are awarded points for things like spotting the first thing in a neighbourhood, or noticing something every day for a week. Making it even more fun and useful, the company has made available an iPhone app. See http://noticin.gs/

WiFi usage to be curtailed on flights according to TSA
Just when the public is starting to hope for or get accustomed to in-flight usage of WiFi (think Tweeting from 35,000 feet etc…) the TSA has stepped in – as a result of this weeks attempted Terrorist attack on a Delta/NWA flight 253 at Detroit – and is going to limit WiFi usage and other passenger activities, particularly during the final hour of flights. This will also mean that Internet usage during short flights (90 minutes in duration approx.) will likely not be allowed at all. This from a recent statement issued by AirCanada… “New rules imposed by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration also limit on-board activities by customers and crew in U.S. airspace that may adversely impact on-board service. Among other things, during the final hour of flight customers must remain seated, will not be allowed to access carry-on baggage, or have personal belongings or other items on their laps.” See more at the TSA website
