Some interesting GIS EDU (K-12) updates hitting our area of Northern Colorado, courtesy of my contacts at ESRI’s EDU team. I was interested to hear that Rocky Mountain High School (the Lobos) already have a GIS course called Mapping Technologies being offered – nice! Teachers receive their training from ESRI helping them to develop material to be included in the Poudre School District High School class offerings.
Of note, some workshops will be offered to Colorado educators in the near future, including a workshop here in Fort Collins for any Poudre School District staff interested in beefing up their GIS skills. See details of Upcoming GIS EDU Workshops in Geography and Technology Workshops HERE
