New and Improved Google Search gets a dose of caffeine
Seems that Google is not going to just sit back and watch Microsoft roll out Bing and other additions. Google has been working on a new Google Search (code named caffeine). To date I’m not too sure what’s different, however, you can test it out for yourself at http://www2.sandbox.google.com/
According to “The TimesOnline” Google’s new efforts will result in faster, more accurate, and more relevant results.
New iPhone Application from Trimble
It’s great to see developers jumping on board and developing more Geo Tech apps for the iPhone platform – if you can’t see the opportunity here ($$$) then you maybe need to clean off your glasses! Trimble’s new AllSport GPS Turns any iPhone 3G into a Pocket-sized Personal Trainer – a perfect marriage really and this app reminds me lots of the amazing Nokia Sports Tracker application (an app that Nokia has mysteriously yet to leverage into a full-blown business) After downloading AllSport GPS, iPhone 3G users can:
* Begin a new fitness routine or maintain their existing workout plan
* Track exercise activity by monitoring time, speed, calories burned, and distance traveled during outdoor workouts
* Download map images and recommended routes to their iPhone
* Download high-quality content from Bicycling and Backpacker magazines
* View performance statistics and real-time information
* Store favorite outdoor workout routes
* Share fitness progress with friends and family
