In this role the candidate will be responsible for creating maps and graphs using GIS software and related equipment, manipulating multiple layers of maps such as wind resource, transmission and environmental, compiling geographic data from a variety of sources, and analyzing spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports. Consulting Engineers is seeking a fulltime GIS Analyst and Programmer to assist with the development of a variety of water resources-related GIS products in their Fort Collins, Colorado Office. This position requires a degree (AS/BA/BS) with a GIS emphasis and 1 to 5 years work experience directly involving ESRI’s suite of products (ArcGIS 9.x). Knowledge of and experience using ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, and ArcObjects is required. Preference will be given to applicants with ArcObjects programming experience using VBA and/or VB.NET or similar languages or to applicants with an aptitude for programming. Duties include supporting a variety of water resources projects, map digitizing, spatial data management, editing and attribution, and map generation.
