Looking to survey the grounds of the University of Arkansas? If so you’ll be glad to find that there’s a cool online application that provides users with survey control. Additionally, users have access to download 6 inch imagery (2003, 2005) and historical photographs (1926 – 1985). A very clever and interesting project from the University planning group – see http://www3.uark.edu/PHPL/Planning/GIS_services/imagery.html

Apple iPhone campout guide mashups
I’m still unsure why anyone would pay $600 + contract for the iPhone but, nonetheless, here’s a cool mashup for the die-hards that want to camp out in hopes of being first in line to grab one of the hip devices. Gridster has a nice app that features a page for major centers where you can get in line. A map is provided along with details of all the local retail outlets (AT&T and Apple stores) where you can supposedly find one. See http://gridskipper.com/travel/san-francisco/ultimate-iphone-campout-guide-santa-clara-valley-fair-270864.php for a campout guide for San Fransisco. Are you planning on getting an iPhone… why?
