NavDog Intelligent Maps set to launch

Not sure if this one is official yet or not, but the developer has notified me via LinkedIn that NavDog is set to roll out. I had a very short first look and from first glance they look like they have indeed come up with a very clever, and interesting local search app and mapping service - serving up what they call the most intelligent maps! The service has been under development (using Microsoft’s Virtual Earth service) by a couple of years via founders, Shawn Fredrickson, Peter Hulsey, and Ty Seddon - Good luck guys! Check it out at http://www.navdog.com/

NavDog has a very fun UI and the maps are very attractive. A quick POI search of coffee houses pulls up a map near my area (identified by IP no doubt) A number of hits are identified although Loodles, my favorite local coffee stop isn't on the list... I'll have to see if I can add them!

The team has made available a number of cool widgets to grab also!
